There are many ways to prevent light from affecting your sleep.
1) Don't use any technology for at least an hour before you go to bed
2) Wear amber-tinted goggles
3) Use a program called f.lux that changes the brightness of the computer to adapt to the time of day which helps keep your circadian rhythm on track
